There are so many different varieties of dogs that it's quite overwhelming choosing the furry friend that is to join your family. From the largest to the smallest, to the most hairiest to the hairless...there is a perfect pooch perfect for you.

Dogs and humans have been a great match right from the beginning. Some scientists believe and I quote:

"that humans took wolf pups and raised them within their homes. Over time, the descendants of these pups became tame" whereas other scientists believe "that dogs came to humans on their own. Dog ancestors were wolves or wild dogs who scavenged from human dumps..."  - Kristin Mehus Roe

No matter how our relationship came into being we know that they rely on us for food, water, shelter and love and in turn they give loads back to us by guarding our properties and us...and doting on us by giving us undivided attention and love, truely they are "Man's Best Friend".
